Special Note On 2025 Licensing Change
Introduction
Egan BIM Resources apps are licensed by application, not by version. Your license will allow you to use any year’s version on your computer at any time. However, beginning in 2025, due to a change in the Revit development environment, Egan BIM Resources apps licenses had to be revised. The license is still valid for all year versions of each app, but because of the change, the license server now thinks the 2025 app is a second activation. This happens even though it is on the same computer and the License ID and Password are the same. The license server assigns the computer a different Installation ID and requires an additional activation. To address this situation, the same 2025 license revision has been included in 2024 and earlier versions of the app and made available on the Egan BIM Resources website. In order to run both 2025 versions of an app along with 2024 and earlier versions, you will need to download and install the revised versions of the 2024 and earlier apps so that all year versions of the app are running the same license version.
Compatible versions are available on the download page for each app and are identified as "2025 and later licensing versions." Unrevised versions of each app are still available and are identified as "2024 and earlier licensing versions." You can identify the app's version by going to app menu and clicking "About."

Installation Notes
If the app has been previously installed and activated on the computer, the 2025 version of the app will not find the existing license and will not go into trial mode. It will consider the 2025 app invalid or expired. You will need to re-enter your License ID and Activation Password. If your license is "By Seat," you will probably not have an activation available. For updating 2024 and earlier versions to 2025 and later licensing versions, deactivate the old license from the app menu before beginning. You will only need to deactivate the license once, and it will be deactivated for all years. For Site and Enterprise licenses, see below.
Exit Revit before starting installation. Users are reporting that when updating apps, it is not necessary to uninstall the existing app first.
If you have any customization files associated with your installation, make sure that they are available in the installation executable folder location. If they are not, the installer will overwrite your customization files with default files.
Once you have completed the reinstallation of 2024 and earlier versions, you will need to re-enter the License ID and Activation Password into one of versions. This should now activate your license on all versions. There is no reason to expect this issue to resurface in upcoming versions.

Site and Enterprise licenses
Because they do not have a limit to the number of seats allowed, it is not necessary to perform this process on Site and Enterprise licenses. As mentioned above, your license will show two activations for each computer, but there are no consequences for that.
Please note that any computer used to set up your system will need to have your License ID and Activation Password entered before your setup and testing can occur.
